3rd Hussards

I started painting these towards the end of 2015 and it has certainly taken me a while to finish them.  The hot weather since I got back limited painting time, but an hour a morning got the job done.

The challenge with this unit was getting the right colour for Argentine Grey.  I had a good source book and ended up mixing my own (Jo Sonja's Sapphire and Nimrod Grey).  I even produced lighter and darker variants for shading, but the effect appears to have been lost.  That aside I am very pleased with how these beautiful figures have turned out.

Most of the photos on my blog are taken with my trusty Sony 7.2MP Cybershot camera, however this one was taken with my phone (mainly so I can then text the message to my partner so she can have a look without straining her eyes to see the originals).

    1. Thanks James. I thought you might consider them a tad small?
