I'm not sure what to do about this; normally I'd wait for reviews to see what's been fixed or stuffed up. However, BKCII attracts more reductive polemic than online hotel reviews. Detractors are obsessed with the wounds not carrying over between turns, and see nothing else.
Maybe I'll wait for learned advice from yourself and the NWS.
I had trouble getting to Wargames Vault via the link, but went there directly and have now downloaded a copy.
Hits not carrying forward on a platoon are just a different way of showing the unit getting itself back together. There is a lot of abstraction with BKC.
I look forward to seeing what changes you find. I see already from the Wargames Vault preview that attack statistics are now AT, AP, AA and close combat.
It seems as though BKCIII has a lot of issues and errors. A lot. These largely revolve around the lists. Many systems have the wrong stats or are anachronistic. FW190 in 1939 being one of many. In their current form as a standalone the rules are not fit for purpose. Players with BKCII might get by using the previous stat lines.
Pendraken are making an announcement on their forum tonight - 1st May
Thanks. Having secured my copy (download) I'm yet to have a read of it. I've also realised I should register for their forum (which is now in progress)
