Block o'Pikes

Finished!

These are the two new ones.

To add to the first one I completed last month and covered in this post.

Pretty pleased with them,
although the pikes might look better if they were all at a similar angle.
Too late now so I will try and not let it bother me.

This deep formation would only be used in the advanced Impetus rules.

But now to get them to battle!

    1. Thanks. I think pikes are certainly a case of "safety in numbers."

  3. This an impressive sight and the different pike angles look good to me. Doesn’t Basic Impetvs also use deep formations?

    1. Thanks. Basic allows two bases for pikes (large units). As it is I now have five bases of pikes for my Burgundians.

    1. Thanks. "Forest"is a good collective noun for pikes!

  5. Pike blocks have a spiky presence all their own. And they do look better in my view with the angles somewhat varied, whether that is realistic or not. The 'look' is the thing! Those three-stand-deep blocks look terrific!

  6. A solid pike block is hard to beat; for looks at the very least!
Happy New Year to you Mark!
