Grenzregiment No. 4 Szluin

My third and final Grenz regiment (from the Old Glory pack of some 50 plus figures).

Orange facings this time and some different kit which I figure would represent the unit being equipped from a separate depot to the other units, Austria-Hungary being a big place and uniformity of kit not being universal in those days.

 Flash looking unit!

 Not so flash,
but perhaps more true to their actual colours.

Always a challenge arranging figures on the relatively small bases for Napoleon's Battles.
(One of the reasons I like Impetus is the basing freedom, however this works okay for Napoleonics).

Obligatory rear view.
Note also dedicated casualty marker,
had a spare figure so put it to use.

  1. Looking good Mark. A lovely shade of brown you have used for them too!

    1. Thanks. Tamiya red Brown on a grey undercoat (that had a black wash).

  2. This pack from OG is one of my favorites. The figures sculpted by Dave Alsop are superb. Nice painting too!
