Practicing, testing and trying Snappy Nappy

Just took the one photo of this practice game we had at the club ahead of the big game scheduled for the 29th.  Multiplayer, a Corps each, French versus Russians.

Big People's House

The system has a lot of promise.  If anything I think it can be simplified more.  I've been collecting my ideas and trying to marry them with Napoleon's Battles.  Whether anything will come out of it, only time will tell.

  1. I think there is strong potential for some sort of melding of concepts and systems between Napoleons Battles and Snappy Nappy. The similiar basing and scale also helps.
Where Snappy Nappy excels is the multi table major battle concepts. Also the idea of limited number of moves in the day (similiar in both systems), brings forward the campaign game aspect even more, as armies may clash indecisively on a day but one may need to retreat because of supply issues etc.

    1. Yes very promising.

For last night's game, Darren's also brought in some things from One Hour Wargames which I think is this book: https://www.amazon.com.au/One-Hour-Wargames-THOMAS-NEIL/dp/1473822904
