Achaians (Trojan War) versus New Kingdom Egyptian Again

And for the last time.  Even with good luck my army struggled to make head way against Dave's New Kingdom.

For a bit of variety (and ease) the images are all taken from the Achaian's right.

The outscouted Greeks deploy between some woods and difficult going.

This was going to be a head on clash with no fancy manoeuvring.

The Greek slings succumbed to the Egyptian chariots,
but this would allow for a fabulous counterattack,
if the Greeks could win the initiative.

Despite the play of Decisive Initiative, the Greeks got the drop on the Egyptians and...
Not much happened.
Except on the far right where one unit of Greek chariots was mauled.

The chariots look like they have fought themselves to a standoff.
The impetuous Greek infantry has stormed the hill killing the Egyptian king,
but their line infantry on the left flank were routed.

The Egyptian chariots have one last push crushing the Greek chariots.
The Egyptian archers stand impotently by as the impetuous Greeks seize the hill,
but it is all too late.

I don't think my Carthaginian figures like pretending to be Greeks.  Time to look at another army for the up coming club competition.
