Drive on Damascus - Campaign

After our test play some weeks back, Richard and I started the campaign game.  I continued to manage the Allies and hopefully seem to have learnt a bit from the previous game.

Blogger has decided to orientate the images to its own rules which is safest for me to live with (the thought of diving into the HTML code to fix it is beyond me at present).  At least it seems to be consistent.  So north is the right hand side in each image.

Turn one sees the Allies or rather the Commonwealth cross the border
and attack a number of weak Vichy forward units.

Turn 2 is more exciting with a commando raid on the coast,
along with further mopping up of  any weak Vichy forward units that failed to pull back.
An operation to take out the south east Druze garrisons has also commenced.

Detail of the commando raid that will lead to the capture of Sidon.
The forces trying to break into the Beqaa Valley can also be seen.
The map is beautiful, but it is tricky to tell rough from hilly, mountain and alpine.

Turn 3 sees the Commonwealth focus on securing its right flank.
Attacks in the mountains are difficult and so things in the western part have slowed down.

End of Turn 3.
The Vichy have pulled back in the mountains to avoid being out flanked
as well as creating a stronger front.
Six garrisons remain in the south east to be reduced before the drive on Damascus can resume.
