78 grams of Soviets

I must get on and finish my Soviets.  There are still many kilos to go :-(

Here we have four T26 tanks.

These two are Battlefront.

And these to are resin of a rather inferior quality.
I had to make new barrels for them, but otherwise left them alone.

And here we have mother duck and her five little hatch-lings.
It is obvious in this image that I used the wrong shade of green on the T35 :-(

  1. Remember the T-35 Brigade had polished paint for its pivotal role in the May Day Parade in Moscow. Perhaps you could dry brush them using the lighter green paint to brighten them up a lot including larger splashes on the main surfaces using the darker green as shading effect?

    1. It is only a matter of time until I feel compelled to repaint the T35. As you suggest it wouldn't be too hard.

  2. Have you made it through 1kg yet?
I do like the T-35. I don't mind the colour, it makes it look more ominous. :)

    1. I have all the artillery still to do and most of the armour. About half the infantry to finish (mainly base), but then there is the question of the German SS infantry that were painted as Soviets. I need to strip them and repaint.

I should leave the T35 as is. At the very least it will remind me of which green not to use.

  3. You seem to be progressing at a steady rate with these Mark—until you see that other shiny thing over there. No, not there, it's over there!
Love the photo from the 'duck' family album.

    1. Thanks James. I'm lucky in having lots of shiny things to distract me.
