Random figures finally completed

Bit of a mixed bag this lot.  Sometimes I'm left scratching my head why I acquired the miniatures, all I can say is that I must have had a good idea at the time, or otherwise I got them because I couldn't pass on a scantily clad female figure.

This figure was completed about 20 years ago.

No idea of the manufacturer.

But a good figure.

This next figure was started about 10 years ago, but finished this week.

Again, no idea of the manufacturer,
except I think it was the same as the figure above.

Fleshtones are a challenge,
especially when there is so much of it.

The final figure is SS63 Royal Attendant with vase from Garrison Sword and Sorcery.  She doesn't look like the sample pictured in the Lost Minis Wiki, but I think that is just because her arm has been bent.

I am pretty sure I obtained this figure as a job lot with some similar types (which are at various early stages of being painted and have been so for a while).  My current thought is she can serve as a denizen in a DBA camp and of course there is always Songs of Blades and Heroes to give her an outing.

Perhaps not as good a casting as the other two.

But she came up well all the same.

Look out behind you!

Wings of Fantasy

The gargoyle and the hawkman(?) I've had for months, but the harpy is a bit of a record as I just got her less than two weeks ago.

 Cue maniacal laughter.

Mortar the Gargoyle (I don't make the names up, I just buy the figures)
Reaper Bones Dark Heaven range 77028

Painted black, then dark grey and then a lighter grey.

There is enough detail in the figure to easily bring it to life.

A gremlin got into this photo

 Harpy
Again a Reaper figure, code number 77041

I was trying for a feathery, scaly, fleshy outcome and I think I kind of got there, but perhaps not so much when the figure is blown up so big as in the above photo.

Cute

 Tail end

 Hawkman SS15 from Garrison.
I'm prepared to call them hawkperson in these more enlightened times.

I'm actually very happy how Hawk turned out.
I was aiming for an angel look, but in a classic Greek sense - heroic nude.

I just wished I had paid more attention to the beak when I was cleaning the figure up.
It is hard to be a hawk without a nice sharp beak.

The Now Known Unknowns

First up the four armed guy.  Big thanks to Paul of Paul's Bods for finding out the pedigree of this figure.  I quote: "Vintage Garrison Fantasy preslotta SS83 " Four Armed Giant " The Club appears to be missing or rather, it looked like it carried a Club in it´s right Hand (top one) which has broken off."
The figure as it should be...

What I have.

Next, another sadly broken figure, but still with a lot of his menace still intact:

HA6 Dealer of Death on Horse

The above chap was identified by Maudlin Jack Tar who also spotted another horseless rider as a Minifig from their Mythical Earth range - ME8 Mounted Wizard Horse Number: M1

No horse, broken staff... So it goes with old figures.

But the big breakthrough has been identifying the Garrison logo which is written in cursive on the base along with a code starting with SS.  Then the next step was to use this fabulous site and work out who is who:

SS25 Mounted Aquiland Black Guard

SS15 Hawkman

SS6 Frost Giant with Mace

SS90 Zangiran Heavy Infantry

SS2 White Magician

SS73 Armored Orc with mace

SS43 Tarun Immortal

SS1 Barbarian on foot

SS9 Northman with Axe

SS34 Corinthian Infantryman

And now back to the Valley of Four Winds

VFW28 Wizard of the Woods

But there remains one unknown unknown.

W6

Looks like a Minifigs.  But this is as close as I've got:

It's a conspiracy!

Postscript

Thanks to Tamsin's comment I had another look through my old 1970s catalogue and found this:

So W6 Artillery Mule it is.  Case solved.
