French Generals

Been working on these for a while.  Mainly Old Glory, but with one or two ABs as well.  This is my first use of tufts for my Napoleonic collection.

Corps Commander

AB Division Commander

I like this Old Glory Dragoon general

Big hand

Another AB figure

Attitude

Warm coat

I see I will have to go back and clean up the sword tip

Big hat

I think the photos at this distance look better

Not quiet able to get a consistent back drop to the group photo

With these guys complete I now have six corps, twenty two division and one army commander for my French Napoleon's Battles collection.  I have a plan to do a new army command stand using the AB Napoleon set.  I'm still a few division generals short for Waterloo (about three), but I now have enough for Austerlitz.

  1. Good collection of BIG men. The Old Glory dragoon officer in greatcoat is a favorite of mine as well.

I have the same issue with photos revealing a small misstep. Something that looks so small when painting becomes much more significant in an enlarged photo. Trimming a sword tip is trivial.

    1. Thanks Jonathon. I also find that the photos allow me to show the missus the figures I paint better than she can see with the naked eye.

  2. Big hand should go down the left hand side of the Corp commander for a "high five". :)
