Airfix Romans Re-Lifed

Back in January I did a post on some Airfix Romans I had painted many decades ago and that had become sadly neglected and slightly damaged.  I am happy to announce they are all better now.

A wash on the flesh and a rebase was all these guys required,

These poor chaps need a bit of touch up to their flaked paint work.  

They then received a coat of Plasti-Dip.

And after a few days, a coat of matt varnish.

While I don't ever imagine using these guys, there are enough for an Impetus unit.

Classic figure by Airfix, still looking good after all these years.

    They look very smart. That Roman archer figure is one of the best produced by Airfix I think.

      Thanks. I would have to agree about the figure and that is probably a factor in why I patched them up - they deserve to live on.
