After the confusion of the landing, the US V Army has been able to link up with the Commonwealth VIII Army. Now they are working their way up the spine of Italy.

Lots can happen during movement
with both players being able to call in bombardments and airstrikes
(weather permitting).
The US V Army is trying to break onto the Naples plain.
The Eight Army has been delayed by blown bridges (which are fatal in bad weather).
The Eight Army is now in contact with the Germans,
although the Indian Division has held back (nearest the Adriatic coast).

at least from the US V Army's attempt to work round their flank.
Success, the US V Army has now broken through the German river defences.
Will they have the armour to match the Germans on the plain?
The Eight Army has the 1st Canadian Division advancing in tandem with the V Army.
The dark green is open, the light green hills and the brown mountains.
There's also a volcano in there!
