World in Flames 46

This post is for the special full day's play we had on Sunday.

There has been a break out from Leningrad and also from Gomel,
but the Axis moved quickly to snuff out the latter.
The Japanese are engaged in anti-partisan activities.
There is a Japanese presence in the Middle East that look bad for the Soviets in Iran.

At the end of what was a very long March/April 1943 turn the Chinese built one garrison unit while the Soviets built a HQ, two tactical bombers, a militia and three infantry
The Chinese have actually advanced.
Clear weather saw a very successful Axis bombardment of a key Soviet position at the bottom of the map.  At the same time the Japanese declared war occupying one of the Iranian oil fields.

But worse was to come at Gomel were a very successful groundstrike by a loan stuka, dodging anti aircraft fire. struck all three defenders of Gomel which was subsequently captured.  Still it had held out for two years.  Better was an uprising in Rostov which the Soviets were then able to sneak troops into.
