I will do my best to avoid making anatomical references and give these models their full nomenclature:
Panzer 38(t) E/F (uparmoured) (or in Flames of War branding: GE023)
Plenty of rivets, maybe that's why it took me so long to complete them.
I went plain Jane for these, the only fancy thing is that I have secured the turrets with magnets.

when you consider that the production variants are as built or uparmoured the variation in the models produced is quite surprising.
ReplyDeleteYes, as long as the scale is basically the same (and I'm thinking more of the problems of 1/76th and 1/72nd and similar) I actually prefer to have some different brands. Also for use with Rommel they tend to be spread out so differences are not so noticeable (as they can be with mix and match figures from different brands).

ReplyDeleteThat is a hard question. The Battlefront ones seem to have more character, but are a bugger to assemble. They also have a bit of weight, which needs to be added to the Zvedza ones and the 3D one. There are also a few option with the Battlefront kit being able to have hatches open and crew etc. They are more expensive, but reasonable so. So, after that walk through, I would say I prefer the Battlefront finished kit. Haven't seen a PSC equivalent, but I really like the models of theirs that I have made.
DeleteI like the Zvedza model but i accept this is a bit unfashionable at the moment (and probably for a while!). These models go together so well.
