When your 1st Dragoons are also your 25th Dragoons....Their full title is 25th (1st Württemberg) Dragoons "Königin Olga"
The unit you are referring to came after the Napoleonic Wars. My source for this unit is The Prussian Army 1808-1815 by David Nash.
It's the same unit. Chevau-Legers in 1806, became Dragoons in 1870. Wikipaedia can't be wrong can it?
The 1806 Chevau-Legers were part of the Wurttemberg Army, not the Prussian. Wurttemberg didn't become part of the German Empire until 1871 and then this Regiment became Dragoons as you note.
Ah yes, I've just found my booklet on the Wurttemburgers. Phew! It's lucky we cleared all this up.
