That is interesting. I looked and I have received 21 views (of 35) from Russia this week. No doubt an AI has developed in Russia and is looking for ideas on conquering the world. :) Obviously much better ideas on your blog than mine. :)
Many have been commenting on the increase in visits from Russia. Interestingly, my blog has not experienced any increase from the Russians. I suppose, I am below the Bear's radar!
I was going to say it must be the stealth design you use for your blog, but I see we both use the same design. You've even had a recent post with Russian in the title. I'm assuming when you say "increase" your current level is not already high? (as in the thousands)
It seems that the Cold War between Russian and USian spambots/webcrawlers has gone hot on my blog - 4265 v 7825 in the past week (compared to a paltry 793 from the UK).
However, looking at stats for today, I think the US has won - 842 US v 76 for Russia so far (UK on 150).
Just out of interest, I had a look at my own blog stats. From the US 123, from the UK, 107, from France, 54 (nice from France!). From Russia: 3194. I like getting readers from Russia. But something is going on here...
I ran back through my post list to see whether there was anything that was catching anyone's interest. There were a few things: the Army Men Project, and the modelling, especially scratchbuilding, postings. Not sure what to make of it.
In the past, I have noticed that interest from Russia is apt to surge for a while, then drop off. Ukraine, similarly, as it happens... Never has it reached this level, though!

ReplyDeleteIt might well be the labels are what triggers the Russian interest. One of mine is Zvedza.

Looks like we are in the frontline in the web wars. Just think, people will be gaming this in the future.
DeleteMy blog likewise has received far more interest from over there. Might be because I've been consuming more vodka of late?
ReplyDeleteThat would be it. Their spider sniff bots would be able to detect and home in on the merest molecule of vodka adhering to your keyboard.

ReplyDeleteI would like to think the interest is genuine...

My guess is you are being investigated to see if you are related to the Romanovs :-)

ReplyDeleteNo, and I don't have Hillary's emails either
