Don't Mention The War - Part 32

The situation for the Axis is bleak.  As we come into November/December 1943 the weather is thankfully bleak as well and the Axis have the initiative (and therefore know what the weather is and associated risk and get to react accordingly).

The first impulse was blizzard in the East and snow elsewhere.  This enabled the Germans to save oil and pull back their troops in southern France, along with their Italian allies.  The blizzard did not stop the Soviets from performing an Air impulse and relocating all their planes, of which they have many, forward. They even conducted a massive bombing raid on Ploesti (causing the loss of one oil)

But the blizzard stopped on the second impulse and the Soviets then did a combined air/land in the lovely crish snow.  They launched three attacks even though their attempted ground strikes failed.  Many German aircraft were shot down defending the front, but it was all in vain as two top of the table results produced Soviet breakthroughs to the north and south of Kiev.  Even a third mediocre attack against the brave defenders of the liberated Baltic State produced a critical loss (the 5 factor German artillery unit).

Luckily a storm has struck for the third impulse, but not before the Imperialists bombed Essen (causing two losses).  At least a follow up raid by the US on Polesti was stopped dead in its tracks, eh, contrails.

What you can find when you go looking...

Elsewhere in Europe the Imperialists have invaded Bulgaria and look to be planning to do the same to Italy.

New phone seems to have taken a decent image of the European theatre

In the Pacific the Soviets look like they will soon be ready to attack Japan, that is if the US doesn't knock them out first.

The other side of the world
