My attempt to create this side of the flag
and the nearside horseman has been repainted in a more Confederate style.
I painted up all the Old Glory artillery crew I had a long while ago
and consequently have always been short of guns.
These will do nicely.
Those guns look like Whitworth rifles, to me. Probably the muzzle-loading ones; I read somewhere that the Confederacy never got (or ordered) the breech-loader Whitworth cannon.
ReplyDeleteThe pack had no label, but came with alternative barrels that were definite breech loaders (I didn't use them as I couldn't find and good reference to how the handle on the breech should look.) When I put the spare barrels away I found I had a heap more of these guns, plus crew!
