One 24FrYG brigade for Napoleon's Battles.
At the ready.
Closed ranks.
Off on a march.
I've read of people complaining of the uniformity of pose, but there are subtle differences.
The officers are a delight. The uniforms seemed very varied,
but I went with something close to the what the troops were wearing.
The Tirailleurs with their companion Voltigeur unit.
More of the Voltigeurs can be seen here.
all those years working got in the way of painting? Feeling your pain!
ReplyDeleteWorking just provided the means to acquire, not complete.
DeleteA beautiful - and useful! - unit...they look superb!
ReplyDeleteThank you. They were a joy to paint.
DeleteBeautiful looking forward units Mark and certainly the Young Guard are essential in gaming 1813-15.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carlo. Yes, I hope to get lots of use out of them.
DeleteThank you. I like the tangible aspect of having finished painting up figures, it gives a sense of completeness or closure and most importantly progress. The the road up lead mountain is best tackled one foot (unit) at a time :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you. I so enjoyed doing them that I was looking today at what other Napoleonic troops I should paint. I have some Old Glory Middle Guard that have been ready to go for a decade, but today I cleaned off a pack of Old Glory Austrian artillery which is now ready to undercoat.
