This was as far as the Soviets got in their counter offensive. They now risk being cut off as the Axis have abandoned their attacks on Melitopol and struck east as well as sending the panzers south.
The situation in the north. The pocket has been cleared, but the focus has shifted south. However with troops now available the Axis should be able to keep up the pressure on Stalino.
The southern flank is going to get very interesting. The Soviets are very short on troops and with good weather the Axis mobility can be devastating.
Can Melitopol continue to hold out? The chance of it surrendering is 20%
