I suppose for real nostalgia I should have used enamels. I had thought about it for the shields, but the patchy effect that I ended up with (accidentally I should add) is possibly more realistic.

As to the metal effect, I was concerned given the lack of detail that it would come out plain but it does have a look of chain mail about it (another accident or rather happy outcome).Sun of Yorkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07315805432481558574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-430244424351512966.post-56213778659534121312016-01-30T10:16:11.710+08:002016-01-30T10:16:11.710+08:00Thanks. It comes out very similar in appearance to my own trick for burnished metal: Humbrol gloss black and Humbrol silver mixed. Seems to work with gloss enamels better than with acrylics.Archduke Piccolohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15533325665451889661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-430244424351512966.post-18847542395172896212016-01-30T04:17:02.619+08:002016-01-30T04:17:02.619+08:00Cool.
